THE WARM HOMES LOAN SCHEME
What is the Warm Homes Loan Scheme?
The UK Government’s Warm Homes Loan Scheme helps households spread the cost of eligible home energy improvements through participating lenders.
Infinity Renewables can introduce qualifying customers to reduced rate finance for solar panels and battery storage. You get a system designed for your home, with a clear choice of how to pay.
The government contribution reduces the cost of borrowing. You remain responsible for repaying the loan.

The Infinity difference →Energy savings vary with your property, system, electricity use and tariff. Savings are not guaranteed to cover finance repayments.
BEFORE YOU GET STARTED
Could your home qualify?
Here are the key criteria for the Warm Homes finance options we offer. Our team will talk you through the details, and the lender makes the final decision.
Get a quote & discuss eligibility →- ✓
You own and live in the property
The property must be your UK home. These finance options are not available for landlords or commercial properties.
- ✓
You are adding an eligible technology
These options cannot fund the replacement or upgrade of a technology already present. If you already have solar, ask us about adding a battery where there is none.
- ✓
Your funding meets the scheme rules
You may be able to combine a Warm Homes loan with other funding, including the Boiler Upgrade Scheme or Home Energy Scotland grants, but not to pay for the same improvement. Tell us about any funding you have.
- ✓
You meet the lender’s criteria
Credit, age and affordability checks apply. Meeting the scheme criteria does not guarantee finance approval.

What is the ten year finance option?
Eligible customers can spread repayments over 120 months at 3.6% APR. Interest is payable. The standard ten year rate for customers who do not qualify is 8.9% APR. Your finance agreement will set out the monthly repayments and total repayable.
What are the 0% APR options?
Qualifying customers can choose from three interest-free options:
- 5 years / 60 months: 25% deposit, with the remaining 75% financed.
- 4 years / 48 months: 15% deposit, with the remaining 85% financed.
- 3 years / 36 months: 0% deposit, with the full cost financed.
All three are 0% APR, subject to scheme eligibility, status, affordability and the lender’s terms. Your quotation confirms the deposit amount and repayment schedule before you decide.
Is a Warm Homes loan the same as a grant?
No. This is borrowing that you repay to a lender. The government helps reduce the cost of the finance. The Warm Homes Loan Scheme is separate from the Warm Homes: Local Grant and the Warm Home Discount.
Can I use it if I already have solar panels?
The finance options shown cannot be used to replace or upgrade solar PV already installed at the property. Adding a different eligible technology, such as battery storage where none is present, may qualify. Ask our team to check your plans against the lender’s criteria.
What if I do not qualify for the scheme?
We can discuss cash purchase and standard finance options, subject to lender approval. The corresponding standard rates are 4.9% APR over 60 months and 8.9% APR over 120 months. We’ll explain the options available for your quotation before you decide.
Does requesting a quote commit me to finance?
No. Requesting a quote is the first step in exploring a system for your home. You can review the proposal and payment options before deciding whether to proceed. A finance application is a separate step and is subject to lender checks.
