Remote Property Assessments

Post COVID-19 we can assess some aspects of your home remotely

Infinity Renewables are very aware trying to continue to limit uneccessary social contact, travel and polution – after all, that’s a big part of why we are running a renewable energy business. One way we can help with this is to allow our team to make initial contact with you online, to see if what we offer is really for you.

Below we have some information that will allow you set yourself up for an online meeting.

Zoom FAQs

How does Zoom work?

Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with a local, desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online, with or without video. Zoom users can choose to record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another’s screens, all with one easy-to-use platform.

Do I need Zoom to have a meeting with you?

A Zoom account isn’t required to attend a meeting. Anyone can join a meeting using the Zoom mobile apps or desktop applications for Windows and Mac.

Can I use Zoom on my mobile?

You can, but we recommend joining your Zoom meeting on a desktop PC, laptop or iPad. Your host will be sharing their screen with you and on these devices it’s much easier to see all the relevant information during your home energy assessment.

Do I have to sign up with Zoom to join a meeting?

You do not have to have a Zoom account to attend a Zoom meeting or interview. You will be prompted to download the software, once you have clicked on the link that you have been provided. You may wish to create an account, but that is not required to participate in a Zoom meeting.

What will Infinity Renewables need to see from my energy bill?

We have to be able to see your annual estimated consumption and price per unit as opposed to just your monthly spend. This way we can accurately determine your earnings and savings from a renewable energy source, without this we cannot validate your system before installation.

Do I need a webcam?

It is not a requirement, but we do recommend you are visible to our energy assessors on camera. It really helps with the communication process, making it easier to explain the details of the system we might provide you, and to be sure that your fully understand all of the information.

Who needs to attend the meeting?

All decision makers of the property need to be there. Due to finance regulations we must have everyone attending who is going to decide on any changes that may affect the home. If all partners are not present then unfortunately the meeting will have to be re-arranged at a time that all can be available.

My partner won't be available. Can I still attend a meeting?

No. Unfortunately your Zoom meeting will need to be rebooked. We are under strict regulations to make sure all details are given to all decision makers to prevent mis-selling.

Do I need wi-fi for Zoom?

You certainly need a decent internet connection. It’s our recommendation to use WiFi (as opposed to 4G) for the best overall experience. Each one-hour webinar using Zoom can use about 60Mb of data storage, so try not to use your data plan if at all possible.

Can I use Zoom without mucking about with downloading apps?

Actually you can. The Zoom web client allows joining a Zoom meeting or webinar without downloading any plugins or software. However, the web client has limited features compared to the app, and it functions best on the Google Chrome browser.

Do I need a microphone for Zoom?

Yes, you need to use a device with a microphone or we can’t talk to you at all.
